Off the Rails

You have so many friends that

succour you in good times

console you in bad and they

need no wining and dining

no endless chats on the phone, no

complex web of meetings and

rendezvous, but hang quietly

shrouded on the rails in your room

waiting to adorn and adore.

I think you’ve tsken the clothes on my back and humanized them eloquently 😉 I like the irony in this Steve, definite, no one can take the shirt off your back 😉

Well, okay a second reading gives this an entirely new twist. Anthropomorphizing clolthing is certainly a less dangerous way of relating(?) Hope all of you get along famously without dinner and drinks. Now I think I understand those words women utter…”I fell in love with those shoes and simply had to have them.” Now it’s a fun poem…sort of.

I read this two different ways…. At first I thought this person sounded jealous, but then in rereading it I thought… It could be a personal reminder to what one has!
