The Coldrum Stones I

The Coldrum Stones I

When the unburdened dead were
carried through that door, the
sky was richly silent and the
long valley empty of all but
fruit and the future.

Doesn’t sound sad despite it’s being about ‘the dead’. I like it.
Though idk what the ‘Coldrum Stones’ are or where they are either O:)

No, it’s not sad, the dead live quietly and aren’t bothered by our presence. The Coldrum Stones are a short drive from my house here in Kent in southern England. They are about the same age as the earliest burial structures in Egypt, c. 4000 BCE.
