On this palindromic day we got

lost as the fog shuttered us in

dissolving the other traffic  into

solid nothingness as we all

crept up the steep chalk incline as

ignorant of each other as

mud-smeared soldiers blundering about

beneath a ceiling of shells

hoping not to find each other until the

road could drop below the cloud-line into

damp dreary drizzle and

some sense of home.

I know I am late by a day, but we must honor the soldiers that make our countries possible. The ones who are willing to put their lives on the line in order to make us free are the ones who make us free.

November 11th is Veteran’s day in the United States. Veteran’s Day, regardless of the country you are reading this from, should be every day. We shoudl honor them with the strength we have.

Then we should pray for a day when we no longer need soldiers.

I like it, you give a truly terrifying experience, a lighthearted angle. (^_^)
