Going and Coming Back

Travel shrinks your life

into a small box with

dodgy wheels and an

even smaller box with

all your music in it, taking

too much of your essence

abroad, leaving little room for

newfangled things.

Packing up the life of three weeks, the

unworn clothes, unread books, the

undone things, unvisited places, to

step back into the other life,

dusty now, of unopened mail and

undone things.

The actuality of life sometimes makes us wonder if its all worth while!

Wherever we go, we need the familiar..tho, sometimes never used in unfamiliar places, and then back to the familiar. things that are dusty and undone, become the new, once again, yet they are old. Coming and going.. New and old…almost the same, if you think about it.
