4 White Things

If I had lifted my camera

just a moment sooner I would have had

within the same frame

four strange things–

nascent moon,

passing plane, two

quarrelling gulls, all

redefining white

against blue.

    So often do I see what I cannot, at the moment, record. Nicely put. But I think sometimes that those brief, personal moments are not lost, if you have been alert enough to discover them for yourself.
